Dudley Zoo and Castle to host open air cinema nights this summer

Dudley Zoo and Castle is inviting film lovers one and all to an open air cinema held in the castle grounds, with two classic films showing on the big screen this summer.

The first showing will be the hilarious - and gory - Shaun of the Dead on August 1, full of eerie thrills and starring the classic duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

The cult classic will be shown within the walls of the 950 year old castle where there will be some spooky surprises lurking in the shadows - those who can't wait for Halloween might get what they're looking for here. 

Fans of the mysterious and magical - and a bit of David Bowie - can catch a screening of the fantastic Labyrinth on August 2.

The film is set to light up the old walls of the castle with projections, immersive music and a few magical surprises - making you feel like you're in the Goblin King's realm yourself. 

Starring Bowie and his iconic performance, as well as stunning visuals and 80s nostalgia, the ultimate way to watch Labyrinth might just be under the stars within the historic castle itself.

The organisers have assured that the open-air screenings will go ahead come rain or shine, so double check the forecast and be prepared - no one likes soggy popcorn. 

There will be a selection of food and drinks on offer as well as a licensed bar.

Doors will open at 7.30pm on each night, and tickets cost £12 each. Book online at dudleyzoo.org.uk.
