Wolverhampton Grand Theatre's Christmas panto season is almost here - full dress rehearsals have been held for a dazzling, never-before-seen rendition of Beauty and the Beast.

In a showcase like no other, former bodybuilder Jamie Christian Johal - better known as Giant from the BBC TV show Gladiators - will feature alongside an ensemble of rising names from the West End musical theatre scene to tell the story of the traditional fairytale with plenty of twists.
It will be his first pantomime appearance in Beauty and the Beast, which runs at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from this Tuesday, December 3, to January 5.
They will be joined by Jarneìia Richard-Noel, of the original cast of 'SIX' and who will play the fairy Angelica; Olivia Mitchell, who will play Belle; and Tom Lowe, who will be Prince Pascal/Beast. He was recently on stage at the Grand Theatre, in Lichfield Street, in the role of King Triton in Unfortunate – the Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch.
Timothy Lucas, of Blood Brothers, will play the part of Monsieur le Pratt in the festive show.
