Bear Grylls ready to welcome adventurers again
Adventure park near NEC to open up again.
An adventure park launched by explorer Bear Grylls is preparing to open up once again.
Part of the attraction close to Birmingham NEC will open up, although people will have to wait until May for it to be fully reopened.
The Bear Grylls Adventure will re-open it’s outdoor High Ropes in time for the second week of the Easter holiday.
Launching on April 14, it will offer families the chance to try out the tallest high ropes course in Europe, stretching up to 65ft tall.
The Bear Grylls Adventure’s other activities will remain closed until May 20, when government restrictions are expected to be lifted on indoor hospitality, allowing more freedom for visitor attractions.
With reduced capacities on each activity to comply with Government social distancing guidelines, people will need to pre-book their visit through the attraction’s website.
It says extensive preparations have been carried out to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.
On arrival, visitors will be asked to take a contactless temperature check and there are new routes around the attraction and new queuing formats.
Staff will wear PPE and there will be enhanced cleaning in alignment with government guidelines.
It is hoped other activities at the centre will reopen in mid-May.
They include indoor archery, indoor climb, shark dive, escape rooms, indoor skydiving, snorkel, shooting and a Royal Marines-inspired assault course.
