Hit BBC drama Peaky Blinders, that returned for its fifth series this year, will be up against the likes of Killing Eve, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and more to take home the Best Drama Series award once more, following a win earlier this year.

Cillian Murphy and Helen McCrory are also up for the Drama Performance Award for their portrayals of Cillian Murphy and Polly Gray in the Birmingham-based series, with scenes shot in Dudley.

Helen is also nominated in the category for her role as Kathryn Finch in political thriller MotherFatherSon.

Created by Cannock writer Jed Mercurio, Line of Duty stars Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar, Stephen Graham and Martin Compston have also been nominated in the Drama Performance category.

Mercurio's hit BBC series Boydguard, starring Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes, took the title of Nest New Drama this year, with Madden also being awarded the Best Drama Performance award.

Celebrating its 25th year, David Walliams is confirmed to host the glamorous event in January.
