Walsall's Ron's Neighbours set to return
Walsall born-and-bred indie rock band Ron's Neighbours are set to make a comeback 30 years after they disbanded.
A record label scout recently discovered a single they had released back in the 80s in a specialist vinyl shop in London and tracked them down. Impressed and intrigued by their find, Emotional Rescue Records now plan on re-releasing some of the band's back catalogue later this year.
To celebrate their unexpected return to the limelight, Ron's Neighbours - who describe themselves as a "Walsall supergroup from the distant 80s" – are playing a reunion gig at the Fountain Inn in Walsall on November 9 for fans old and new.
Singer and guitarist Al Monde said: “It was a surprise to say the least after all these years, but the label are really keen on getting our music out there. We have started rehearsals and I have to say it’s all coming together well. We can’t wait to play live again."
