Tamworth band The Sold have gone where they have never gone before and released a music video to accompany their new single Velvet Sky.

The colourfully graphic video, reminiscent of a Red Hot Chili Peppers creation from the mid-90s, can be viewed by fans on their YouTube channel right now.

The Sold - Zak Edwards on guitar and vocals, Sammy ‘Shinpads’ Higgins providing keys, bassist Jumbo Hudson, Rob Frymus on guitars, and drummer Dean O'Tron – are understandably proud of their new double creation.

“It's our best song to date in my opinion, so why wouldn't we release it?” asks frontman Edwards. “It’s a real builder that totally kicks it in the chorus and smacks in the face with it's outro.

“It's like drinking a gallon on milk and then going on one of those kids’ roundabouts for 15 minutes with your eyes open. Seems like a fantastic idea at the time but the end is carnage.”

The band also have a live show on the cards, performing at their hometown's Sports Bar, on Victoria Road from 7.30pm on August 13.
