Wolverhampton's Arena Theatre to host latest No Amps No Chat No Charge event
One of Wolverhampton's more laid back live music events series is getting ready to hold its last edition before it breaks off for summer.
No Amps No Chat No Charge promotes the quieter side of acoustic music in a laid back setting at the Wulfruna Street venue and has been running since 2016.
And on June 26, they will host an event headlined by Wolverhampton band Kornastone for their final session in the current series before they start up again in the autumn.
Headed up by Wulfrunian singer-songwriters Dave Lawrence and James Davey, Kornastone's origins lie in the 1970s.
They have toured with the likes of Raymond Froggatt and Clifford T. Ward and have recorded their original material with top city-based producer Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studio.
Their debut album Oh My Days was released in the summer of 2018, nearly 30 years after their inception.
Support comes from Midlands-based duo The Escape Plan and rising Shropshire singer Jen North.
No Amps No Chat No Charge is organised by Rob Fellows of Cellar Rooms Rehearsal Studios on Wolverhampton's Fryer Street. It has received recognition for its dedication to promoting local artists, being nominated for Best Live Venue (Under 300) in the forthcoming debut Black Country Music Awards.
