As is always the case with the tournament, the name is a statement of intent, as both Friday and Saturday see the promotion bring dream matches to The Hangar.

On Night One, the globally renowned Lucha Bros, Pentagon and Fenix will clash with Dragon Gate’s PAC and Eita for a place in the tournament semi-finals on Sunday.

PAC is better known to WWE fans as former NXT and Cruiserweight champion Neville. Pentagon, Fenix and PAC are three of the best pro-wrestlers in the world, with all three due to feature in major matches in Las Vegas in less than six weeks.

All men combine high-flying with high-impact striking, promising some thrilling exchanges as both teams vie to reach Sunday’s semi-finals.

Whoever wins the tag match on Friday, they will also be involved in major matches on Saturday.

Pentagon will once again challenge for the Fight Club: PRO World Title, as having failed to unseat Chris Brookes back in October 2017, he will try to succeed against Brookes’ Schadenfreude colleague Mark Davis.

His brother and tag-team partner, Fenix, will go up against a former superstar on ITV’s World of Sport Wrestling and until recently a champion in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Will Ospreay.

These are two of the best high-flyers in pro-wrestling, and with both men having near-superhuman timing, balance and agility this match should be something spectacular.

Meanwhile PAC will be the latest global superstar to face Wolverhampton resident Kyle Fletcher.

Normally a tag team competitor, the “Aussie Arrow” has impressed in recent singles matches against Meiko Satomura, former WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate, Will Ospreay and Daisuke Sekimoto.

His match against Dragon Gate’s world champion will give him another chance to excel against one of the world’s best.

Fletcher will also be in action on Night One, teaming with Chris Brookes to represent Schadenfreude in the Dream Tag Team Invitational, as they face Hallowicked and Frightmare from America’s Chikara promotion.

Both Fletcher and Brookes have spoken about the impact Chikara has had on them as performers, and this promises to be an unique blend of action and comedy.

Night Two will see countries and generations clash, as America’s Ortiz and Santana will face British veterans Jody Fleisch and Johnny Storm.

This should be an excellent contest, as their previous meeting for Impact Wrestling was the best match of their 2018 show in Manchester.

At 39, Fleisch is a sight to behold, moving around the ring better than men half his age.

The final quarter-final sees the Fight Club: PRO World Tag Team Champions, Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett take on their fellow Americans, Dave Crist and Jake Crist.

The latter team will be accompanied to the ring by former Fight Club: PRO World Champion Sami Callihan.

If you’ve not attended Fight Club: PRO shows before, there is no time like the Dream Tag Team Invitational as the first two nights promise great action plus the usual raucous Fight Club: PRO atmosphere. There is also the opportunity to meet the pro-wrestlers in exclusive Meet and Greets before each show. It truly is a highlight of the pro-wrestling year.

Fight Club: PRO’s Dream Tag Team Invitational takes places on April 19 to 21.

Nights One and Two are at The Hangar in Wolverhampton, whilst Night Three is in the Manchester One Academy (Fight Club: PRO is organising a fan bus for fans travelling from Wolverhampton).
