Members of CADS are in final rehearsals for their play, Ladies Down Under, being staged next month.

The play, written by Amanda Whittington, is a sequel to the stage company's award-winning portrayal of Ladies Day in 2015.

It will be staged at The Theatre, at West Bromwich Community Centre, in Gayton Road, on April 3 to 6.

Ladies Down Under follows the four fish-filleting girls from Hull as they celebrate their jackpot win at York Races on Ladies Day.

They are in Australia on the trip of a lifetime, however all does not go to plan and they end up backpacking across the outback to Ayers rock.

Starring in the production is Dawn Dodwell, who is a new addition to the company, as Pearl the eldest of the group with a huge secret.

Tammy Steventon takes on the role of Jan who is a nervous traveller who has her hands full with her fella Joe.

Lucy Styles returns to the role of Linda and Amy Whistance plays Shelley, an aspiring model and a shopaholic.

The play is directed by David Hill who is taking the cast on a trip of scenes including Manchester Airport, on board a British Airways flight, Ayers Rock and Sydney’s Mardi Gras.

The show starts at 7.30pm each night.
