Peaky Blinders will be heading to BBC One for season five and show bosses have released a image from the set.

It shows Aunt Poll played Helen McCrory leaning back against a car dressed in a stylish black suit, hat and glasses.

Producers behind the Birmingham-based crime drama shared the image saying: "First look at Helen McCrory as Polly in Series 5 of Peaky Blinders."

Thousands of people have shared the image across Facebook and Twitter as fans get excited for the new season.

Charlotte Knight wrote: "The women oozes total sophistication. Any role Helen is acting [in] I’m totally in ore. Keep up the great work you do."

Amy Shechtman added: "One of the best written and acted female characters on TV ever."

Susheila Prasad added: "Great photo. Helen McCrory looks amazing!"

The cast and crew including Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, had returned to the Black Country Living Museum to film the new series last November.

Hollywood A-lister Murphy was joined by Paul Anderson, who plays Arthur Shelby, and Helen McCrory.

Filming took place at the Tipton Road attraction that was once again been transformed into a set for the Birmingham-based show.

The actors were decked out in their signature smart suits and newsboy caps as they chatted with cast and crew, and shot scenes for the eagerly anticipated new series.

Peaky Blinders will be back on our screens in the spring.
