Dozens of people turned out for the event, where they were able to watch a dazzling display light up the night sky.

Youngster Casey Jack was given the honour of pushing the button to start the evening’s entertainment.

The firework display was set to music, and enjoyed by the crowds on Thursday.

With a clear sky, there was also food and funfair rides for visitors to enjoy.

As today’s pictures from the past shows, fireworks have been held at RAF Cosford since at least the 1950s.

Photographs from the night were taken by Sergeant Paul Oldfield.
