Dorothy Clive Garden near Market Drayton was the setting for the plant hunters’ fair, which featured a large selection of specialist plants.

The event is now in its 10th year and included specialist nurseries with a national standing as well as small local plant growers. The event, which was held on Bank Holiday Monday, raised money for the Willoughbridge Garden Charitable Trust.

Martin Blow, organiser of Plant Hunters’ Fairs, said: “We really look forward to returning to this beautiful garden. This fair was the first we put on and so always holds a special place in our hearts.

“The gardens are lovely at any time of year but late summer will always be my favourite time in the garden.

“We had a fabulous line-up of nurseries, each carefully picked to give the best range and diversity of plants possible.”

The garden’s tearooms were also open serving a range of light lunches and teas.
