Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre is releasing tickets for a variety of shows, including the return of Willy Russell's Blood Brothers, which will take over the theatre for a six evening stint next April, after they have been offered to the Friends of the Grand group from today.

The classic drama is one of a number of new shows announced, including a new production from Black Country comedy group The Fizzogs, who will be bringing 'Freezin', their take on Disney classic Frozen, to life.

The Fizzogs, who shot to fame in 2014 after a video of their 'dancing grannies' routine went viral, will perform at the Grand on November 16, the night after Katie Markham brings the songs of Adele to the city as part of the Someone Like You - The Adele Songbook show.

Katie was hand-picked by Adele herself on Graham Norton’s BBC Adele Special in 2015 to take on the role of the multi-million selling singer for a stage production and has not looked back since.

She will be performing hits from the record breaking albums 19, 21 and 25 on November 16.

Tickets will also go on sale on Friday for a special Afternoon with Christopher Biggins show, hosted by BBC Midland's Today's Nick Owen, taking place on October 27.

Fans will be able to join in with a talk on the career of the 68 year old actor, who has appeared in programmes including Porridge, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em and Surprise Surprise in what is a unique show for the theatre.

The rest of the shows going on sale at 10am on Friday will be taking place next year, including an evening with Buddy Holly and The Cricketers with The Rock and Roll Orhcestra.

The show has wowed audiences across the globe from Cardiff to California in recent years and will return to Wolverhampton on March 7.

After surpassing 10,000 shows a long time ago, Blood Brothers is still going strong and the show dubbed the 'Standing Ovation Musical' for its ability to invariably get crowds on their feet at the end of the evening returns to the city on April 16, running through to April 21.

Bringing the new series of shows to a close is Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, which tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.

Beautiful will be at Wolverhampton Grand from June 12 to 16.

Tickets for all shows except An Afternoon With Christopher Biggins, which are already available, go on sale Friday at 10am and 10am today for Friends of the Grand.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 01902 42 92 12, in person at the Box Office or online at grandtheatre.co.uk.
