Ex-world champion Mancini will be pulling no punches in fans’ Q and A

Boxing champion Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini is heading back to the UK and will be talking about his colourful life to fans in Cannock.

Fans have the chance to meet and greet the former World Lightweight Champion as well as enjoy a five-course meal and a Q&A session led by former professional boxer Richie Woodhall.

An Evening with Ray Mancini takes place on September 13 at Bar Sport's Premier Suite. It is a return to the venue for the Ohio-born sportsman who appeared there two years ago.

In a candid speech he spoke about the glory and heartbreak of his career including his infamous fight against South Korean boxer Deuk Koo Kim, who died from severe brain injuries after the fight at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Stars from the TV show are taking part in a one-off spectacular to raise funds for Dot Com Children’s Foundation charity.

Ian Waite will partner Erin Boag, and Kristina Rihanoff will partner Tristan Macmanus for a series of dances with all four taking to the floor for a ‘jive’ finale. Former X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney will provide the songs on the night.

Dot Com Children’s Foundation is a personal, social and health education (PSHE) resource. It is a 'safeguarding tool' to raise awareness and keep pupils safe from the dangers of abuse, sexual exploitation, radicalisation and extremism. It promotes children's rights and fundamental British values.

Kristina Rihanoff, patron of the charity said: “Dance lessons were where I felt safe. I want children growing up now to know that if there are problems at home, there is something that can be done and to encourage them to talk about it.”
