They included five-year-old Stanley Saunders from Shrewsbury who picked up a model aircraft at the show which was held on Saturday and Sunday.

Spectators watched on as hundreds of aircraft owners took it in turns gliding their models up into the air, performing for the crowds with rolls and turns then gliding back to the ground.

Around 7,000 people attended the show over the two days.

Rob Buckley, secretary of the Large Model Association, said there were about 150 model aircraft at the event. It was hailed a massive success.
