Classic car show set to raise money in Staffordshire
A classic car run is being held in Staffordshire next month to raise money for charity.
The run, which will feature everything from classic cars to vintage tractors and motorbikes, is being held to raise money for Stafford-based Katharine House Hospice.
Starting in Penkridge, drivers will head up to Cannock Chase for the drive which will conclude with a picnic.
Around 700 invites have been sent out for the event on Sunday June 11.
Angie Gray, 53, who runs the Katharine House Hospice shop in Penkridge and has helped to organise the classic car run, said: "It will be absolutely fantastic. The weather does not matter, us classic car people always turn up regardless.
"Even people who just want to come and look at the cars are more than welcome to join us.
"This is the third or fourth time we have done the classic car run. We did not do one last year as the main organiser David Pearce was not very well but we are coming back bigger and better this year.
"Katharine House is important to the Staffordshire community, nobody ever knows what is around the corner."
Drivers are meeting at the Bridge House hotel in the town from 9.30am. The run is setting off at 11.30am.
