Stafford Castle to host festive fun
There will be an abundance of holly, ivy and mistletoe at Stafford Castle where visitors can get into the festive spirit by making wreathes and other decorations.

Experts will be on hand to help people with their creations from 11am until 4pm on Sunday.
It is one of the most popular events in the Christmas calendar at the attraction.
There is also children's Christmas decoration making workshops, and the opportunity to try the castle's hot chocolate and cookies. Heritage sites manager Mark Hartwell said: "Visitors can combine a visit to the castle with choosing their family Christmas tree from dozens available from Greenaway's on display near the herb garden. The tree sales will continue every Saturday and Sunday up to Christmas. There are also a wide range of traditional and unusual gifts available in the visitor centre."

There is a charge for the workshops. The castle is open every Saturday and Sunday between11am to 4pm until March. Meanwhile, staff at the Ancient High House will be celebrating Christmas through the ages on Saturday from 10am until 4pm.
Visitors can meet the attraction's costumed characters and learn about Christmas in the Tudor, Stuart, Georgian and Victorian periods.
They can also stir a Christmas pudding,sing carols around the piano, visit Santa in his grotto and try mince pies and hot fruit punch. There will also be children's craft workshops and storytelling sessions.
