A Mod-ern fundraiser
Around 130 scooter riders revved up their machines for a special ride in aid of a charity that supports grieving parents and their families.
It was part of a fun day held in Cannock for Sands - the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.
Bike riders from across the region joined in the festivities by taking part in an eight-mile round trip from Bridgtown Social Club, in Walsall Road following a route to Penkridge and back.
The event was supported by the 4th Crusaders of Cannock Scooter Club who meet at the club on Thursday evenings.
In addition to the ride that included a 1960s Lambretta, there was a bike display, a barbecue, bouncy castle and three music acts including the band Liam.
There finale performance featured a Soul sisters and Blues Brothers tribute.
Social club manager Elton Whitehouse said: "It was a great day, we had great weather and it was very well attended. There was a nostalgic flavour to the event as quite a few people turned up in Paul Weller costumes in homage to the Mod theme."
Details of the sum raised will be announced soon by SANDS.
The charity was set up in 1978 by a small group of bereaved parents who were left devastated by the death of their babies, and by the lack of understanding of the significance and impact of their loss.
Last year lobbying by Sands resulted in the launch of the National Stillbirth Group for Wales by the Welsh Government, with a priority to reduce stillbirth death rates.
