Soaring sales for owner of 2 Sisters
The owners of the 2 Sisters Food Group, which has chicken processing plants in West Bromwich, Smethwick and Wolverhampton, today reported a big increase in sales for its last quarter.

Boparan Holdings' sales rose 26.8 per cent for the 13 weeks to the end of April to £764.8 million, but operating profit was down £15.9m to £15.5m following the purchase of poultry business Vion.
Chief executive Ranjit Singh Boparan said it was a strategic acquisition, with around £1 billion annual sales.
"Whilst currently loss making, we are confident in delivering improvement with our turnaround plan over the next two years," he said.
