A Rugeley business that supplies and fits ceiling sound systems is on course to double its turnover this year.
Sound Ceilings UK was started 10 years ago and for the last three has been based at the Towers Business Park.
Planning consultant Ben Rayner said the business, which employs eight, imported Swedish-made systems from JBN Sound Ceilings.
"We design systems for clubs and bars and are picking up business from universities for students' unions as well," he said.
Sound Ceilings had turnover of £150,000 last year and Mr Rayner said it was on course to double that in 2012 as it won new orders from all over the UK.
Its latest contract is for the students' union at the University of Northampton.
Mr Rayner said the ceiling speakers reduced the amount of noise emitted from a venue.
"Speaker cones are fitted into roof tiles. In the Northampton project we will be fitting 792," he added. "They solve noise complaints due to the removal of bass away from a dance floor," explained Mr Rayner.
Sound Ceilings is also winning work in supplying systems for events held in marquees. The company is also operating a community involvement programme in its local area and has recently we signed a one year contract with Cannock Ladies Hockey Club to sponsor its first team goalkeeper Gemma Brookes who is also the England under-18 keeper.
